Tatti & Ilans
Tatti and Ilans are two food brands under one owner — Tatti, a thriving bakery, and Ilans, an excellent nationwide chain of coffee shops. As in-house art director for both, I owned everything from the smallest operational detail to the brand itself: from price tags to the full redesign and rebranding of their retail coffee packaging.
Tatti and Ilans are two successful food brands sharing a single owner: Tatti, a high-performing bakery, and Ilans, a well-loved coffee-shop chain with locations across the country. I served as in-house art director for both — which in a food operation means living at two very different altitudes at once.On one end, the daily machine: price tags, in-store signage, menus, promotions — the high-volume, fast-turnaround material that keeps a retail food brand running and consistent across every branch. On the other end, the brand-level work: most notably a full redesign and rebranding of the coffee packaging Ilans sells, the kind of project that reshapes how a product sits on the shelf and in a customer's hand.Owning both chains at once meant holding two complete visual systems in my head simultaneously, keeping each coherent from the cheapest printed tag to the flagship product. That's what in-house at this scale really is: equal parts brand guardian and production engine.
